ACSP’s Q1,10 throughput up 17%, to 344.100mt

Trade flows via Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port (ACSP OJSC) reached 344.100 tons in the first quarter, or nearly 17% up from Q1, 2009, the stevedore company statement said.

The Company’s first-quarter report shows it handled 8.800 tons of goods, save seaborne cargoes, 7.4% down from Jan.-Mar., 2009, 110.800 tons of outbound cargoes (as much as 1.86 times rise), 126.600 tons of inbound goods (+23.2%), 97.800 tons of coastal trade (-20.22%).

Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port is a diversified stevedore operating at the Port of Arkhangelsk. ACSP specializes in handling of general cargoes, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metals, fertilizers, heavy equipment, bulk and bulk cargo. The company’s facilities allow it to handle over 4.5 million tons of commodities a year. In 2009 freight traffic via ACSP reached 1.345.900 tons, a 23.7% drop year-on-year.
