Hamburg Süd has received 2000 new reefer containers ordered and produced at Daikin production facility in China, Daikin press release said.
“The market for new reefer equipment was hit hard last year by the global downturn. However, the continued confidence of long-standing customers such as Hamburg Süd helped Daikin retain its ranking as the second largest supplier to the global refrigerated container industry.” David Marjoram, General Manager of Daikin Refrigeration Business Unit was quoted as saying.
Hamburg Süd, founded back in 1871, is now a Germany-based global container carrier of temperature-controlled cargo.
Daikin factory opened in China in late 2008 specializes in the production of state-of-the-art reefer containers.
