100-slip-pier marina opens in Costa Rica

Pez Vela, a specialized marina opens in Costa Rica on April 21st, PortNews IAA reports citing Vacaciones Barcelo Costa Rica operator. The marina has over 100 piers ranging from 10 to 60 meters in length of a private dock providing a wide range of services for yacht owners.

Pez Vela construction project has taken over 10 years. The marina has its own onshore power generator, fuel service station, vessel repair facility, as well as rest rooms for shipowners.

Pez Vela facilities build-up plan includes construction of 300 more piers, a dockyard (with the forklift of 200-ton capacity) to repair large yachts, several shops, a new boutique hotel, and indoor facility for mooring yachts, says Glenn Mumford, Sales Manager of Pez Vela.
