The unitrain of 38-80-foot container platforms owned by TransGarant Company laden with industrial goods from Finland, was sent from the Hamina station (Finland) to the port of destination Vostochny. At the Port’s terminal the cargo will be loaded onto FESCO’s container carriers to be delivered to China, Taiwan and Korea, the FESCO press release said.
FESCO has been implementing its intermodal logistics project for speed container trains launched in 2007. The train is expected to cover the Trans-Siberian in nine days. The main competitive advantages of the new project for the client is the principle of "one window" when selling complex services, a guaranteed provision of the rolling stock and containers, and significant reduction of transit time compared with ocean services.
