CPV to launch new cranes worth €2m at the end of the second quarter

Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV OJSC) running its handling facilities upgrade project has purchased two new Sennebogen-870R Special Crawlers manufactured by SENNEBOGEN Maschinenfabrik GmbH (Germany), the CPV press office said referring to the chief engineer of CPV Yuri Pirozhenko. The total cost of the state-of-the-art equipment is around EUR2 million.

Mobility of the handling equipment will allow loading and unloading at any of the port’s terminals. The cranes will be put into operation at the end of the second quarter of this year.

The Port plans to purchase three BLESTE’s clamshell buckets of different capacities.

Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port OJSC holds and manages assets at the sea port of Vladivostok, one of the largest seaports in the Russia’s Far East. CPV operates 17 berths, including the specialized ones - container, passenger, and automobile. CPV is part of the FESCO Transport Group. Last year’s throughput of the stevedoring company rose by 4.9% year-over-year, to 6.205.100 tons of commodities.
