By changing the rotation, Maersk Line will now offer direct weekly departures from the Far East to Tincan Island while maintaining a weekly service to Apapa on its FEW2 service.
"We remind our valued customers that we have a berthing guarantee in Apapa on our FEW2 service and that cargo discharged from this service enjoys a step-down guarantee," said Maersk.
The new FEW1 product offers:
• Direct coverage from Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Nansha and Tanjung Pelepas to Tincan Island
• Reliable transhipment products from other Far East origins via Tanjung Pelepas
• Fixed weekly departures
• A very competitive transit times in the market from China to West Africa
• Extensive network coverage in the Far East and superior own agency network at both destination and origin
• Export opportunities from Tincan Island to all Far East destinations
The new rotation will include the following ports: Shanghai (China), Ningbo (China), Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Nansha (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Lome (Togo), Cotonou (Benin) and Tincan Island (Nigeria). The FEW1 service will be calling the TICT terminal in Tincan Island.
