Kaliningrad customs to apply web-based declaration submissions from August 1st

All the customs offices of the Russia’s Kaliningrad region will begin processing cargo declarations submitted via the Internet by August 1, 2010, says the North-West Customs Directorate of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
 
NWCD said they would implement ED2, an enhanced version of the electronic submission form for cargo clearance. The customs clearance of cargoes via Kaliningrad, a special economic zone, will be carried out in "Import 78" regime, to the benefit of car makers importing autos spare parts.

Currently, all 7 customs posts of Kaliningrad Regional Customs - Kaliningradsky, Moskovsky, Yugo-Zapadny (South-West), Svetly the Baltic Sea Port, Seaport Baltiysk and the Seaport of Kaliningrad of Khazov, are equipped to apply ED2 system for customs clearance procedure, NWCD statement said.
