Grain Terminal first phase starts operating in Kherson, Ukraine

A UkrRechFlot’s subsidiary, Kherson River Port has commissioned the first phase of the grain terminal. The terminal project was funded by UkrKazeksportastyk Ltd., a joint venture formed in 2007 by Kherson Port and KazekPortastyk Holding (Astana), a Kazakhstan grain trader, RZD-Partner.Ru reported.

According to the Kazakh partner, the terminal facilities are intended handling grain cargo carried by trains and trucks, with the daily output at 1,5-2 tons. The terminal’s 1st phase storage capacity is reported to be 20,000 tons. Grain logistics & transportation scheme includes loading of grain cargo to ships.

The UkrKazeksportastyk Grain Terminal is currently 100% owned by KazekPortastyk Holding.
