Earthquakes persist in the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantics

Earthquakes with magnitude ranging from 4.8 to 4.5 have occurred recently in the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean areas, the U.S. Geological Survey data said.

The most recent 4.7-magnitude quake came at 11:04am (UTC) near Kuril Islands, Russia. Three earthquakes were registered today near Libertador O’Higgins in Chile (4.8, at 05:37am), in Molucca Sea (4.5, 07:21am), Solomon Islands (4.8, 09:24am) and Southern California (4.7, 10:55am).

Several stronger earthquakes were reported yesterday, a 5.4-magnitude quake in the South Sandwich Island Region of the Atlantics at 05:04pm (UTC) and a 5.0-magnitude quake near S. Coast of Western Honshu, Japan, the report says.
