The carbon calculator offers multiple shipment searches and intermodal data that shippers can turn into spreadsheets according to their preferred shipment.
“China recently announced it would reduce its carbon intensity by 40-45 percent by 2020. Hong Kong is part of China, and Hong Kong businesses have a leadership role to play in this emissions reduction strategy,” said Philip Chow, chief executive officer of OOCL.
The calculator results are based on OOCL’s vessel fleet CO2 emissions data, using Clean Cargo Working Group calculation methodology. Honk Kong Polytechnic University verified the accuracy and completeness of the calculator and methodology.
