Kherson Shipyard's output up 19.6%, $52m in 2009

Kherson Shipyard (KSZ, Ukraine) posted a year-over-year 19.65-percent gain in production and services volumes for 2009, at UAH416.606 million ($52 million), Transport Business reports.
 
The Company’s financial 2009 report said Kherson Shipyard had completed its portfolio of orders for 12 vessels worth UAH308,194,000 and repaired 33 ships valued UAH83.321m. Kherson Shipyard plans to increase this year’s output by 15.39% from 2009, to reach 355,61 million hryvnia.

Kherson Shipyard OJSC is engaged in repair and construction of vessels, particularly tankers of up to 30dwt, Ice-Class supply ships, ore carriers, container ships, river-sea-going bulkers, drilling vessels. Smart-Holding of Vadim Novinsky holds a majority stake in Kherson Shipyard.
