In June futures contract prices on DS-7.10 diesel fuel rose by 769 rubles or 4.75% and settled during yesterday’s trading session at 16,960 rubles a ton, the Saint Petersburg Exchange data said.
Cortez Gas Oil Index gained in the reporting period 5.78% (932) to 17.052 rubles / ton of diesel fuel.
June diesel-futures trading volume amounted to 174.53 million rubles (vs May’s 175,75m rubles). The total number of closed deals was 186 / 10665 contracts. The total number of outstanding contracts at the closing of the trading session yesterday was 234 contracts, worth 3.97 million rubles.
The diesel-futures contracts trade is a joint project of the Stock Exchange Saint Petersburg and the RTS Group. DS - is the first Russian settlement futures contract, focused largely on the domestic market of oil products, quoted in rubles. The price of the contract is the index value of Cortez Gas oil by Cortez IAC.
The organizer of the DS-futures contract trades is the Exchange "Saint Petersburg", the clearing organization, RTS Clearing Center CJSC, the settlement organization, NGO RTS Settlement Chamber.
Trades are carried out on the basis of FORTS, the current trading and clearing market system, which allows realizing the principle of a single cash position with futures and options of the RTS’ derivatives market.
