Salvage teams have pumped out 600 tons of fuel oil from the sunk tanker Grigory Bugrov in the Caspian Sea, as of 9:00 (MT), Oct. 19, a source told PortNews.
The tanker Gregory Bugrov (shipowner – Morchartering Ltd., part of St. Petersburg-based Oil Marine Group, home port of Astrakhan), laden with 6,000 tons of fuel oil hit an unknown object and sank on October 13 in the Caspian Sea near the entrance of the Volga-Caspian Canal.
