Taiwan's Kaohsiung port handled lower container throughput in September compared to the previous month, according to statistics from Kaohsiung Habor Bureau, Seatrade Asia online reports. The available statistics show September container traffic at 767,783 teu, down 4.4% compared to 803,449.5 teu in August.
For the first nine months of this year, Kaohsiung moved a total of 7.16m teu.
In 2010, the Taiwanese port registered 9.18m teu of containers, an increase of 7% year-on-year.
