Intra-Asia operator Wan Hai Lines returned to the black in the third-quarter after suffering a net loss in the second-quarter, Seatrade Asia online reports. Wan Hai's third-quarter results emerged to net profit of NT$477.42m ($15.96m) as against a net loss of NT$291m in the previous quarter. Year-on-year, however, profit was slashed by 83.9% compared to NT$2.97bn recorded in the same quarter of 2010. The Taipei-listed shipping firm generated lower revenue of NT$15.49bn during the quarter compared to NT$18.2bn a year earlier.
