Fujian traffic infrastructure investment up 13.6pc in first three quarters

Southeast China's Fujian province poured CNY52.2 billion (US$8.2 billion) on traffic infrastructures from January to September this year, 13.6 per cent more than in the same period in 2010, accounting for 65.3 per cent of the yearly target, Xinhua reports.

CNY31.5 billion was invested on expressway projects, up 6.3 per cent. CNY12.3 billion was invested on road projects, up 24 per cent. Water transportation projects cost CNY6.8 billion, up 17.9 per cent. Freight yards cost CNY606 million, up 9.1 per cent.
