Namura Shipbuilding Co on October 28 delivered a new carrier to NYK that will transport iron ore mainly from Australia and Africa to China, Steelguru reports. The WOZMAX ore carrier, with a deadweight tonnage of 250,000, will be chartered exclusively to Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp over 20 years. It is built to carry the maximum loading capacity allowed at ports in Western Australia. This is the first contract that NYK has with WISCO.
