Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. yesterday announced that the MOL Group will provide free transport of relief supplies by its containerships to flood-stricken areas in Thailand.
The group has already provided ocean shipping containers to serve as a flood barrier wall and contributed THB 2 million (about ¥5 million) in cash.
"The MOL Group wishes to convey its deepest sympathies to all those affected by the floods, and sincerely hopes that the afflicted area can recover as quickly as possible," Muto said.
*The MOL Group containership will transport dry containers loaded with grant relief supplies from public and governmental institutions and municipalities, or government-approved relief organizations. However, some cargo, such as dangerous articles, animals, and other regulated items may not be accepted.
