Vladivostok-based Vostochnaya Yard on November 12, 2011 launched the hydrographic survey vessel "Victor Faleyev" for the Pacific Fleet, the PF press service said.
The vessel will be outfitted with 3D seismic survey and other special equipment. The Victor Faleyev will officially join the Russian Navy in a few months and will be operated by the PF Hydrographic Service.
JSC Vostochnaya Yard is currently the only specialized shipbuilding enterprise in Primorsky Territory. The firm specializes in building ships for the Russian Navy and border guard patrol vessels, as well as light passenger ships. The shipyard also provides ship repair service for fishing boats.
