Five lines reduce Asia - Mexico/South America services

Five box lines are reducing capacity on the Asia – South America West Coast trade during the slack season. Hambug Sud, CCNI and China Shipping, Hanjin Shipping and Hyundai Merchant Marine have agreed to cut their three loops on the trade to two from mid-November, Seatrade Asia online reports. As result there will be one lop that will see the deployment of eleven 5,500 teu, of which Hamburg Sud is to provide ten and CCNI one. The port rotation will be: Keelung – Hong Kong – Xiamen – Ningbo – Shanghai – Pusan – Lazaro Cardenas – Manzanillo – Buenaventura – Callao – Iquique – Puerto Angamos – Valparaiso – Keelung.
A second loop of  10 container ships with a capacity between 3,100 and 4,500teu will be deployed with, CCNI, China Shipping and Hanjin each providing three vessels and Hyundai one. The port rotation will be: Ningbo – Shanghai – Shekou – Hong Kong – Pusan – Manzanillo – Buenaventura – Guayaquil – Puerto Angamos – Valparaiso – San Vicente – Manzanillo – Pusan – Shanghai.
