The project to build the New Admiralty Bridge in St. Petersburg can not be considered canceled, a City Administration official said.
Boris Murashov, head of the Municipal Committee on Transport Development told the 3rd Forum "Future Petersburg" that “the project was just suspended for a little while,” JSC Institute Stroiproekt reported.
Initially, the new 256m-long, 32m-wide bridge across the Neva River was scheduled to be completed not later than August 31, 2013. The bridge project was valued RUB 5.1 billion. After resignation of St. Petersburg former governor Valentina Matvienko, the project’s future turned to be uncertain.
