JSC Sea Port St. Petersburg has announced the acquisition of a 100 percent stake in LLC Inflot Port on November 21st, UCL holding said Thursday.
Actually, the stake in Inflot-Port had been purchased by Sea Port St. Petersburg some time ago, but only now the deal was officially closed, the Holding, which owns Sea Port St. Pb, said.
Inflot-Port operated Berth Number 20 in Big Port of St. Petersburg, while Sea Port St. Petersburg - Berths #19 and #21. This was the main reason for the transaction. So, now Sea Port can operate the entire quay wall with the facilities for handling refrigerated cargo.
JSC Sea Port St. Petersburg is a stevedore of a Group of companies under the same name, which itself is part of international Universal Cargo Logistics Holding. The company is an operator at Big Port of St. Petersburg, specializing in handling of all types of dry cargo. In 2010, cargo throughput of Sea Port St. Petersburg totaled about 6.9 million tons.
