GPN Marine Bunker expands its bunkering fleet with new tanker

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker has purchased a new bunkering tanker for operation at the port of Ust-Luga in line with the company’s investment program for 2011, a Marine Bunker official said.

GPN Marine Bunker CEO Andrey Vasilyev said the Russian-flagged ship named "Gazpromneft Nord-West" was built in 2011 at Turkish Tuzla Shipyard and meets all the requirements of international conventions.

Ship dimensions: length overall - 72.62 m, beam - 13 m, draft - 5.4 m, tonnage - about 2,600 tons, navigation area - unlimited. Operation and maintenance of the tanker will be carried out by a MB’s unit – Gazpromneft Shipping. The vessel is expected to be deployed at Ust-Luga after Feb.1, 2012

Overall, Gazpromneft Shipping operates a fleet of 7 bunker vessels: the Gazpromneft East, the Gazpromneft West, the Gazpromneft Nord, the Gazpromneft Zuid, Crystal, Neft Zuid-West, Gazpromneft Nord-West, which supply bunker fuel at the ports of St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk.

This is the second ship, purchased this year. In September, the Company acquired modern vessel Gazpromneft Zuid-West for operations in the Black Sea region.
 
In early 2011, the company put into service two new vessels - Gazpromneft Zuid and Gazpromneft Nord at the ports of St. Petersburg and Murmansk.
