South Korea's largest container port Busan handled higher throughput in October, according to statistics from Busan Port Authority, Seatrade Asia online reports. Container traffic in October was recorded at 1.41m teu, inching up from 1.32m teu in September. Year-on-year, container volumes rose 19.5% from 1.18m teu in October 2010.
In the first 10 months of this year, Busan posted 13.41m teu of throughput, an increase of 14.1% compared to 11.75m teu in the corresponding period of last year.
