Maersk switches Belgian ports on Middle East, India service

Maersk Line will replace a call at Zeebrugge, Belgium, with an Antwerp port call on service connecting the Middle East, India and Europe, starting in mid-February, the Journal of Commerce reported.

The revised ME1 port coverage is:

Westbound: Jebel Ali, Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru), Pipavav, Salalah, Jeddah, Algeciras, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Rotterdam and Bremerhaven.

Eastbound: Felixstowe, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Aqaba, Jeddah, Jebel Ali, Nhava Sheva and Pipavav.

The first westbound vessel sailing under the new rotation is the Maersk Kiel, scheduled to depart from Jebel Ali on Feb. 16. The first eastbound sailing is also the Maersk Kiel, departing from Antwerp on March 13.
