Muuga CT box volumes rise 22.8 percent in Jan, 2012

Container traffic at Muuga Container Terminal (Muuga CT) in January 2012 grew by 22.8% compared to January 2011, 16,977 TEUs, the terminal authority said.

Estonia-based Muuga Container Terminal is a multipurpose facility in the port of Muuga. The company is set to expand MCT to double the terminal annual capacity from the current 450,000 TEUs to at least 850,000 TEUs. In 2011, Muuga CT handled 195,300 TEUs, a 29.6-percent growth y-o-y.
