Freight flow passing through the terminals of JSC Commercial Seaport Vladivostok (CPV) in January totaled 515,900 tons, up 3.4% from a year ago, the CPV’s press release said.
The volume of dry bulk, liquid bulk and other general cargoes exported, imported and carried by coasters amounted to 248,200 tons (containers, imported cars excluded).
Monthly container throughput at CPV was 30,523 twenty-foot equivalent units, including exports (10,148teu), imports (12,126teu) and short sea traffic (8,249teu).
In the reporting period the company handled 2,414 imported vehicles. The average rate of cargo handing was 16,641.5 tons and 241,200 railcars.
Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok, member of FESCO Transport Group, owns and operates its assets at the port of Vladivostok, a premier Russian seaport in the Far East region. Port of Vladivostok encompasses 55 ha, over 14 km of waterfront featuring 17 berths with terminals for handling grain, containers, imported vehicles, as well as a passenger terminal. In 2011, CPV’s cargo throughput fell 7.8% year-over-year to 6.38 million tons.
