Maersk Line to launch new Middle East 2 (ME2) service

Danish carrier Maersk Line has announced the launch of the new Europe-Middle East 2 (ME2) container service connecting the Middle East and West Mediterranean, the Company's news release said.

Europe - Middle East 2 (ME2) service will replace the ME1 service and connect the Middle East to West Africa through our extensive West Africa network from the West Mediterranean.

Westbound Rotation: Jebel Ali, U.A.E. – Salalah, Oman – Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Port Tangiers, Morocco – Algeciras, Spain – Valencia, Spain – Barcelona, Spain.

The first vessel sailing on the new Europe - Middle East 2 (ME2) westbound service is the 6YF MSK Dauphin, 1204, expected to depart (ETD) from Jebel Ali, U.A.E. on 26 February 2012.

Eastbound Rotation: Port Tangiers, Morocco – Algeciras, Spain – Valencia, Spain – Barcelona, Spain – Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Salalah, Oman – Jebel Ali, U.A.E.

The first vessel sailing on the new Europe - Middle East 2 (ME2) eastbound service is the 6YF MSK Dauphin, 1205, expected to depart (ETD) from Port Tangiers, Morocco on 11 March 2012.
