Indonesia's state-owned Pertamina confirmed a $79.5m order for a VLGC from South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The price tag is more than $6m above current market levelsSeatrade Asia reports. The new VLGC is scheduled to be delivered to Pertamina in 2014.
According to shipbroker Clarksons, market rates for a newbuilding VLGC sized 78,000-84,000 cubic metres are around $72m. The price has hovered between $72-73m since July 2010.
