Rosmorport’s icebreaker tows stricken Orel-1 to Kavkaz port

The Kapitan Demidov, an icebreaker owned and operated by FSUE Rosmorport has escorted the stricken M/V Eagle-1 to the port of Kavkaz, the Azov Headquarters of Ice Ops.

Then the Kapitan Demidov joined another Rosmorport’s icebreaker the Kapitan Chudinov plowing an open water path for the M/V Gas Monarch.

Previous reports said the Ukraine-flagged Orel-1 sustained a breach to her hull while en route in the southern part of the Azov Sea.
