Port of Primorsk oil traffic rises 17 percent to 6.99 mln tons

Exports volume passing through Russian Primorsk Oil Terminal in January 2012 increased by 17% year-over-year, to 6,994,000 tons, the Port Authority said.


Shipments of crude oil rose 16% to 6,409,000 tons, diesel fuel volume increased by 24% to 585,000 tons.

Sea port of Primorsk (Primorsk Oil Terminal) is the largest Russian oil port dedicated to exports of crude oil and petroleum products in the North West region. POT is the terminus of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) and oil-trunk pipelines Kstovo-Yaroslavl-Kirishi-Primorsk (the project "North") of Transnefteproduct.
