The Greek EU NAVFOR warship HS HYDRA used its recent port visit in Mombasa, Kenya, to support the Coast Province General Hospital and a local orphanage, the EUNAVFOR press release said.
In line with local support for countries of the Horn of Africa, HS HDRA provided medical supplies to the hospital. Medical supplies remain a scarce source in Eastern Africa.
Some members of the crew of HS HYDRA, which joined ATALANTA earlier this February, also handed charity gifts to a local orphanage, The Bee Hive Children’s Home, helping to bring some joy and hope to those children, who need it most.
