Baltiysk Customs: testing of advance reporting scheme was successful
The experiment on introduction of Advance Notice of Arrival at the Kronstadt post of Baltiysk Customs (St. Petersburg) demonstrated the application reliability for data exchange between shipping agents and the customs, said North-West Customs Directorate of the Russian Federal Customs Service.
The report was based on successful clearance of the M/V Jork Reliance and the auto parts cargo conducted on the marine border-crossing point by Baltiysk Customs in conjunction with the carrier HMM (Hyundai Merchant Marine CO, LTD).
The Baltic Customs said it would continue applying the advance reporting scheme for other carriers as well.
