Kazakhstan’s oil production slides 1.4% in Jan-Apr
The volume of oil production, including gas condensate in Kazakhstan in January-April, 2012 totaled 26.57 million tons, down 1.4% from the same period last year, Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency reports.
According to the country’s Statistics Agency crude oil production totaled 22.35 million tons (-1.3%), of condensate - 4.21 million tons (- 2.1%).
In the reporting period, Kazakhstan produced 13.74 million cbm of natural gas, a 2-percent gain compared to Jan-Apr, 2011, including 6.93 bn cbm of natural gas (+5.4%) and 6.8 bn cbm of associated petroleum gas, a 1.1% decline from a year earlier.
