First regular bulk grain ship to Guangzhou sets sail
A 50,000-ton grain ship "Anping 1" set sail to the Shekou Port of Guangzhou from the grain wharf of Dandong Port on May 5. This is the first regular bulk grain ship to a southern port from Dandong. This marks the Dandong port reaching a higher level in sea grain transport, China Daily reports.
This bulk grain regular ship route was co-opened by the Dandong Port Group, Tianjin Yongxu Shipping Group and the Beiliang Co Ltd under the China Grain and Logistics Corporation.
Dandong port will open several other shipping routes to Fujian, Guangzhou and Guangxi in the next two years to build the port as a comprehensive grain logistics base with the functions of grain turnover, food processing, grain storage, grain trade and grain futures.
