  Murmansk Shipping posts first-quarter loss of RUB 4,130,000

  

  Net loss of Murmansk Shipping Company (MMP) in the first quarter of 2012 amounted to 4,130,000 rubles versus profit of 6.61 million rubles year earlier, the Company said.

  The Company's revenue for the period fell 10.6% to RUB 1.1 billion.

  OJSC Murmansk Shipping Company (MMP, MSCo) specializes in maritime transport of general cargo and passengers by its own fleet, a fleet of its subsidiaries and chartered vessels. The holding’s own fleet comprises more than 300 vessels with total deadweight of about 2 million tons. The Company’s main shareholders are LLC Arctic Technology (62.7%) and the Russian Government (25.5%).
