Prime Shipping adds new tanker to its fleet
Prime Shipping expects arrival of its new tanker "Harmony," which departed from Shanghai in early April this year, in Saratov in June 1, the shipping company told PortNews.
On May 18th, the tanker arrived at the port of Samsun, Turkey, for the first unloading. The vessel’s maiden commercial voyage was from an Indian port, where she was loaded with palm treacle on April 24.
The tanker was classed to KM * Ice1 R2-RSN AUT3 Oil / Chemical tanker type 2 (ESP), draft 4.65m / DWT 7431 tons, twin power sets WARTSILA W6L20, each of rated power 1200 kW. The vessel is designed to transport two types of cargo.
Prime Shipping LLC is a subsidiary of Pietro Barbaro (Italy) in the Samara region specializing in oil products shipping. The company was acquired by Pietro Barbaro in January 2006.
