India inks protocol with Netherlands to alter double tax avoidance pact
With India and the Netherlands inking a protocol to amend Article 26 of the double tax avoidance convention (DTAC) relating to exchange of information, India can henceforth seek banking-related information from that country for tax administration purposes, Daily Shipping News reports.
The protocol will also enable use of information for non-tax purposes, if allowed under the domestic laws of both countries, after getting the supplying state’s approval.
