Rough sea interrupts Port Riga operation
The Riga Port has been closed to marine traffic due to strong winds today, the Baltic Course reported.
On May 30, the port was to be visited by "Costa Pacifica", a cruise ship that can carry more than 3,000 passengers, however, after two hours of waiting, its captain decided to skip the port, writes LETA.
At the moment, no ships can enter or leave the port.
The high winds are gradually subsiding; it is expected that the port could reopen marine traffic by noon.
