ULCT expands cargo handling services

Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT) has commenced new service for repackaging of containerized goods, transloading the cargo from containers into boxcars, and vice versa, as of June 2012, the facility operator said.

The company has put into service a mobile loading platform and a loading table, which were delivered to the on-dock terminal in May.  

Previously, ULCT company had provided its customers additional services such as repackaging and transloading of containerized goods under the container-truck, truck-container scheme.

NCC Group owned Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT) is a container terminal based in the port of Ust-Luga. The ULCT encompasses 40 ha, The facility’s first phase annual capacity is 440 000 TEUs, quay length – 440 m, depth alongside – 13.5 m, storage capacity – 78,700 TEU, reefer plugs – 6,000. The fleet of handling equipment includes 4 STS (Panamax), 11 RTG and 2 RMG. The facility is projected to reach its maximum capacity (2.85 million TEU) by 2025. ULCT is managed by NCC and EUROGATE, Europe´s leading container terminal and logistics group.
