Posidonia 2012 gathers 17,000 visitors from 90 countries in Athens
According to the organizing committee the International shipping exhibition Posidonia 2012 has brought together more than 17,000 executives from the Greek and international shipping communities at the state-of-the-art Metropolitan Expo venue during the five-day event which occupies 45,000 square metres of floor space setting a new participation record with 1,870 exhibitors from 87 countries, PortNews correspondent reports.
On June 4th, the speech of Greek Prime Minister Panagiotis Pikramenos, who presided at the official opening ceremony, kicked off the Posidonia 2012 program. Many government officials, foreign diplomats and representatives of Greek and international maritime organizations attended the inauguration ceremony of Posidonia.
Posidonia Exhibition will focus on engineering services, shipbuilding, ship repair, ship equipment manufacturing, management of ports, classification societies, shipping services, finance and insurance, boats, yachts, high-speed, etc.
