  China shipyard launches the tug "Kuzbass" for the Russian Far East

  

  China's shipbuilders launched the Kuzbas, a tugboat, which is intended for transportation of Kuzbass coal, the Kemerovo region official website said.

  The tug’s main characteristics: length overall - 28.67 m, breadth - 10.43 m maximum draft - 4.9 m, depth - 4.6 m, light displacement - 480 tons, fuel stock - 72 tons. The tugboat is powered by twin engines of rated power 4,200 hp.

  The Kuzbass will undergo sea trials at the port of Shanghai. The delivery is scheduled for the beginning of September, 2012.
