Kozmino receiving point connected to the main pipeline
Spetsmornefteport Kozmino has completed work on the connection of oil receiving point to the existing main pipeline, the company said.
This is one of the main events in the commissioning of the facility, which is a major part in the program to expand the export oil terminal to 30 million tons a year.
"The construction of oil-trunk pipeline from Skovorodino to the receiving point of Spetsmornefteport Kozmino will allow crude oil deliveries without rail transport, which significantly accelerate the formation of tanker shipments, exported to the Asia-Pacific countries," said Spetsmornefteport Kozmino CEO Boris Melnikov.
Carrying out these and other works, including the development of the second berth, dredging of waters, the construction of additional accounting system, will double crude exports - up to 30 million tons a year.
After commissioning of the receiving point, the facility will become the fourth production site of Spetsmornefteport Kozmino LLC.
"In the near future, the fabrication and construction works on the receiving point will be completed. Until the end of this month we will complete testing of the new facility. Its commissioning is scheduled for the beginning of July," the company said.
