Moscow Shipping presents M/V Alexander Green
Moscow River Shipping has held at the berth of the Moscow Northern riverside station an official presentation ceremony for the M/V Alexander Greene, the shipping company said.
The ceremony was attended by Moscow River Shipping CEO Konstantin Anisimov, Chairman of Tourism and Hotel Business Committee of Moscow, Sergei Shpilko, deputy chief of Rosmorrechflot Sergey Gorelik and other guests. There was breaking of a bottle of champagne and a Russian flag-raising ceremony and finally a tour on board the ship and a stand-up meal.
The M/V Alexander Green was built in 2012 at Nobel Bros Shipyard based in Rybinsk. The vessel project was designed at Marine Engineering Bureau.
Basic characteristics: LOA - 90.1 m, breadth overall - 14 , 76 m, LWL draft - 1,6 m, operational speed - 20 km / h, passenger capacity - 112 people, the Russian River Register class - M 3. The vessel features 56 comfortable cabins (14x24 sqm), each with a balcony, double bed, shower, toilet, air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi and satellite Internet, etc. There is a restaurant, bar, hairdresser’s, massage parlour, medical center, a comfortable guests reception area.
New modern engines and equipment, navigation and control systems ensure safe operation of the ship in all modes, including cruises on the lakes of Ladoga and Onega. The ship meets high standards of environmental safety.
The M/V Alexander Green was built under the new law encouraging the domestic shipbuilding and shipping business. The law gives incentives to market operators to register vessels under the Russian flag.
JSC Moscow River Shipping implemented the project through the assistance of the leasing company "Goznak Leasing."
The M/V Alexander Green has been chartered by the Australian Scenic Tours for a five-year period and in 2012 will make ten 14-day voyages on the route Moscow-St Petersburg-Moscow.
