The shares of gold miner Polyus Gold International Ltd, the world's biggest company in terms of gold reserves, were listed on the premium segment of the London Stock Exchange on June 19, 2012, RBC reports.
According to Polyus Gold, gaining a premium listing on LSE will bolster the company's image, streamline borrowings, and improve corporate governance.
On June 8, 2012, the company convened an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in order to amend its charter in accordance with the premium listing standards.
