Vostochny Port denies reports on labor inspection claims to the port

“There have been no serious claims so far presented to Vosctochny Port by the Labor Inspectorate,“ the statement said.
“There is no connection between the actions of the Interior Ministry officers, the search conducted in the office of local labor union of the Russian Dockers’ Union (RDU) and the stevedoring company OJSC Vostochny Port.”
“We emphasize that Vostochny Port, being the largest stevedoring company of Primorsky Krai with the 38-year history of development, pays great attention to the working conditions and recreation of is employees. We respect Labor union associations and their activity in general. Moreover, the authority of Vostochny Port fully supports the majority of proposals and social initiatives of labor union organizations of the port. The socially-oriented collective labor contract currently effective in Vostochny Port is a good example.”
“That's why we are upset by those quotations in the regional media of personal statements of single labor union activists, who, because of their selfish interests seek to wreak havoc on the coordinated operation of the port.
