Rosneft inks offshore deals with Eni, Statoil
Russian state-controlled oil major Rosneft has signed agreements to develop offshore oil projects with Italian energy company Eni and Norwegian oil company Statoil at the 16th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, RBC reported.
Eni has offered Rosneft stakes in international oil refining projects in Europe and oil extraction projects in North Africa, Rosneft President Igor Sechin said.
The agreement with Statoil envisages bidding at tenders for Norwegian offshore fields. Statoil also offered Rosneft working interests in its operational projects in exchange for participation in the development of Rosneft's five fields in the Stavropol Region.
