Gazprom Neft, the oil arm of gas giant Gazprom, and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) have entered into an agreement to prospect for oil reserves at the Ignyalinskoye field located in the Irkutsk Region, RBC reports.
The partners intend to perform a 3D survey of an at least 450-square kilometer territory, test two existing wells, and drill two more before the end of 2013 in order to make a decision on investing in the development of the field.
