The federal budget spending on transport may be reduced, Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov said at the meeting on the development of transport infrastructure in Northwest Russia. This is due to the deteriorating situation on global financial markets.
"We do not rule out that the federal budget will ‘shrink’. Then we'll have to fight for funding," the Minister said.
