Anatoly Lazarev named as MD of JSC Vostochny Port
Anatoly Lazarev was appointed as Managing Director of JSC Vostochny Port, a major stevedore operating at the Port Voctochny, effective as from June 29, 2012, the company press release said.
Sergei Kushnarev, who has headed the company since January 2005, was tapped as adviser to General Director of Moscow-headquartered LLC Port Management Company (Moscow).
Lazarev have to solve strategic problems associated with the further expansion, including the construction of the Coal handling complex third phase.
Anatoly Lazarev, 38, graduated from Far Eastern State Academy of Adm. G. Nevelskoj, majoring in organization and management of maritime transport. He joined Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port company. In August 2010 he was appointed production manager of Vostochny Port.
Vostochny Port JSC is the largest stevedore company in the Russian Far East operating in the port of Vostochny. The company specializes in handling of coal using the conveyor equipment.The company’s assets include a Specialized Coal Terminal and Universal Terminal (PPK-1) for handling general and bulk cargoes (coal, coke, clinker, iron ore, timber, etc.) as well as metals, pulp, aluminum, chemical, heavy-lift and oversized cargo. In 2011, the stevedore handled 16.5 million tons, a 12 percent gain year-on-year.
